Ix'Aern (MNK) Solo

So I haven't written here in a while. Not sure why...eh I don't know why I even say that. It was laziness, that's what it was!

My real life has become much more enriched as of late. I've been working a lot and have been trying to make money to fund my immediate future.

In game has been great lately! I finally received W legs on Saturday the 21st. Ironically, there were no Cursed Cuisses on the AH so I bought the synth materials to make myself some with the help of an Alchemist (IO Aubeubian!) from my Linkshell. He HQed them....which caught me off guard but I wasn't complaining by any means.

I really wanted to put my new tool to use so after Dynamis Windurst the following day I went down to the lower level of Hu'Xzoi and took it upon myself to attempt I'x'Aern (MNK) solo with my RDM/NIN. Luckily the ??? spot was on the West side making the inital pull somewhat easier as there was no door I had to open like on the East end of the basement. Anyway I buff up and trade one HQ Organ and start running away towards the Ebon Panel room. At this point Aerns begin to link but they have trouble catching up to me (gogo 12% Movement Speed). Dark element Ghrahs start to aggro too. So I get to the Ebon Panel room...and notice Ix'MNK is not behind me. Most of the mobs begin to depop. All of my buffs were off at this point (minus Reraise, Pro, and Shell 4) so before heading back to the area where I believe I lost aggro I cast Utsu 2 on myself.

A little ways in I see Ix'MNK headed back towards it's spawn point. I wasn't going to let it go this time. I cast Bio 2 on it and begin running back towards the Ebon Panel. Two Ghrahs aggro, one sleeps me with an NQ Sleepga. The Ix'MNK strips the rest of my shadows and hits me a couple times. At this point I was able to make it to the Ebon Panel pulling the Aern to the far side before I died. I wait for the Ghrahs to depop, raise up, Cure myself and put shadows up. I reclaim the I'xMNK with Bio 2 and begin kiting it around the Ebon Panel. After about five mins I realized that I could keep my distance from it almost indefinitely assuming I had the endurance to actually outlast it. I had a close call twice during the fight. Once when I cast Refresh on myself and once when I cast a Bio 2 on it. The most important thing I discovered was that I needed only the Refresh effect from my vermy to maintain Bio 2 on it most of the fight. You need absolutely no buffs execpt maybe Utsu 2 when it goes down. Casting Bio 2 from the get-go wasn't exactly intelligent either, I should've been casting Poison 2 on it for the speed that I can actually get it off. Bio 2 was too slow. Regardless I prevailed and this was my first true solo of any value....to me at least.

Time for a few changes

So I got in an enormous fight this weekend with my family. They do not approve of me and my actions. Perhaps I can understand them slightly in the fact that they are in fear for me. They fear because they do not or will not understand what I am going through right now. Other than that I believe I have all the reason in the world to feel like I am somehow rejected. It's time I believe to leave here. This is not the kind of environment I like. Nobody speaks honestly here and when we do the entire household melts down. I am going to speak with my therapist on Wednesday about this and what I can do to move on from these people until they at least they realize I am not hurting myself but making myself the person I have always wanted to be.

Going well

Life seems to be going well right now. Been taking a step back from the game recently to enjoy things I haven't worried about in a while. Honestly, it feels good and it makes me not hate several questionable aspects of FFXI when I actually log on now. Next week I'm going back to Pittsburgh to speak with my therapist about my biggest probems. I really think in the end things will turn out great, but there is going to be many painful moments for me and people in my life in the near future.

One Hour Kirin, 0 AF in Dynamis

So we took Kirin down in an hour yesterday. What's the big deal about that? We did it the old fashioned way by kiting him and Magic Bursting on Skilchains. It was a very nice fight for us. My Linkshell gets better and better weekly. Granted our drops are very weak. We got a third D body and a Damascus Ingot on this Kirin. I really hope they get better for us.

On Saturday, we did Dynamis San d'Oria and to everyone's disappointment there were zero AF that dropped. I was absoultely stunned. I've never seen that happen.

75th RDM and BLM officially more uber

So yeah, a lot of stuff happened this week. First and foremost I got RDM to 75. Incredible considering less than a week ago it was at 69. Though I am still not sure that I leveled it as quickly as SMN or BLM it definitely was the easiest to get up there. RDM is weird to play for me I still like BLM so much more. I guess for the time being RDM will be my merit whore and skill up job. I still have to get DRK to 37. That's going to be fun. <.<

Been getting people in my linkshell through COP. Sunday night's Sacrarium run was by far the most stressful though we managed to get several people the mission win.

Also this week I obtained a Genie Weskit which is pretty much the end all BLM body piece. There are only a few things now that I would like to have for BLM and let's just say I won't be seeing them anytime soon. *cough* Novio Earring

RDM @70 now

The weather is pretty cruddy out. It's just a mess outside. I'm surprised that one day was extremely nice and the next was rainy/snowy. I'm so tired of Winter.

Got my RDM to 70 today talk about a struggle. I felt pretty bad though I was supposed to do something with a friend and I kinda back out at the last moment. Turns out they decided to quit today. I hope I wasn't part of the reason they decided to quit though I think there were many reasons influencing his decision.

Did Appolyon NE last night and was extremely lucky on getting two drops to complete a piece of both BLM and RDM +1 pieces. Special thanks to Piotre for passing me the BLM item I lost lot on.

I managed to do some spring cleaning the last couple of days which makes me feel better, a few places in the house needed to be dusted.

A Hands...finally!

Today was a good day in game. We did an amazing job fighting Kirin considering our low numbers. We didn't even call for help on it's summons and it made for a great hour and a half battle. I was getting resisted pretty badly but I did a good amount of damage I think. Had to log hate once after Kirin followed me the the hospital. I got the kill shot on Kirin tonight which was quite thrilling it made me very happy to say the least. The drops weren't at all what we were hoping for. A D body and O Ingot dropped. Congrats to Yonekura though on her new Shura Togi I think she deserved it. After Kirin we opted to do one Genbu and in my experience Genbu is stingy in dropping A hands. Today must have been lucky though because he dropped them. I feel fairly complete right now as far as being a BLM is concerned. The only things I really want now for it is the AF2 Hat and AF2 body, a Genie Weskit and a Novio Earring.

My RDM is almost 69 now 21k into 68 atm. It's looking like I won't be exping it much this week as I am going to be getting most of our ls through COP. We started today actually we got two people through "Ancient Vows" aka Riverne Site A01. Now everyone is caught up to Diablos and our plans of getting everyone to sea are closer.

I learned the weapon skill "Retribution" last night and it looks pretty cool compared to my other Staff WSes, definitely the most flashy and does the most damage wise.

Oh and my chocobo egg will be hatching tomorrow {excitement} I wonder if it will be one that will turn into a specific color or be plain yellow. Either way I'm going to raise it so there. >.>

Anyway, I need sleep.

1532 Ruinous Omen?!

Well today I got 67 on my RDM. I soloed for two hours in sea before getting an invite. For some reason the invites have been kinda slow which is weird for RDM. I'm inching closer to 75, hopefully I'll see that by net week. Then I have to level DRK and NIN subs for it. Unlocking DRK is going to be a pain. It should be worth it though. We'll see.

We had a great farming run today in sky. Ended up getting Despot, two Ullikummis, Zipacana, and the Olla series of NMs for god pop items. The highlight of the night was Tzaellia's Astral Flow Blood Pact called "Ruinous Omen." He did the most damage I have ever seen that two hour do. I was amazed to say the least. Quite impressed. Now if only mine did that much. <.<

Confirmed: Enkidus Drop Diorite

Sky was extremely crowded last night. I think we had four other lses to contend with so we really didn't get much done. We did confirm though that Enkidus in Ve'Lugannon Palace drop the pop item (Diorite) for Ullikummi. We got drop from one last night.

Did a few KSNM runs with people in my linkshell. We ended up getting a couple V claws to split between us so hopefully we'll have some extra gil soon when they sell.

I had a thing for dying last night which is weird for me at least. Of course I wasn't feeling too well so meh. Hopefully today will go better as far as how I'm feeling.

Hiya, my name is Liseth I'm 22 and I reside on the Cerberus server in Final Fantasy XI. I am a part of Mogknight's Downrightfierce Linkshell and my main job is Black Mage which is at level 75. My Summoner is also at level 75 and was my first job to achieve that level last Summer in 2006. My current up and coming job is Red Mage which as of today is at level 66. As far as merits are concerned most of mine go towards my Black Mage and for the most part I am fully merited save for a few minor things. My merits include level 5 INT, level 5 Thunder potency, level 5 Ice Potency, level 8 Elemental Magic Skill, Burst 2, Freeze 2, Tornado 2, level 1 MP, level 4 in Avatar Accuracy, level 3 in Avatar Attack, and whatever else I may have forgotten.

In real life I am a student and musician. I was born in Okinawa, Japan. I play the Viola, Guitar, and Keyboard. My favourite musical group is Malice Mizer. And um....I like Lebanese food a lot. I've been in college several years now trying to figure out what exactly I would like to do and slowly I think I am coming to a conclusion. This coming year I am going to probably get into Psychology and eventually try to help people solve their problems by having a practice of my own. It's an uncertain goal, but a goal at that.
